We are Expanding - Job Openings

TangleWood Nature Estate, located 14 km's outside Potchefstroom, North West, is looking for energetic candidates with a passion for the hospitality industry to join our small team. 

 

We are family owned, focusing on camping, self-catering tented and other accommodation, day visitors, & boat launching onto Boskop Dam. We are currently developing the venue for low key informal events and outdoor activities and we serve the local market.

General Requirements

  • Flexible and willing to help and learn in other areas of the business.

  • Good communication and guest interaction skills. (English/Afrikaans - written/spoken)

  • Must be able to prioritise and mange tasks independently, and work within a small multicultural team.

  • Professional, well-groomed with sober habits. Responsible with a good work ethic.

  • Driver’s License and own transport.

​Working Hours

  • 45 hours per week with 2 off days in the week. Required to work reasonable overtime during peak periods.

  • Note - Working week is over weekends and public holidays (normal hospitality hours)

On Offer:

  • Salary between 6,500 and R8,500 depending on experience.

  • Includes onsite accommodation in a shared 3 bedroom house. (unfurnished). 

  • Singles only - No Dependents - Pets - Smoking.

Position 1 - Reservations-Admin-FOH

  • ​Grade 12 / NQF4 (Essential) and hospitality related education beneficial.

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar position with solid track record in the hospitality industry.

  • Must be highly organised with strong admin skills and pays attention to detail. Will run the reception - make and manage reservations, check in & out of guests, deal with cash etc.

  • Will require a good working knowledge of booking systems like Nightsbridge or similar and MS Office Suite. Knowledge SAGE Pastel beneficial.

  • Can use CANVA for Social Media Marketing ads, with an interest in design.

  • Must be customer service orientated with excellent people skills. Able to work under pressurise and take charge when needed. Able to think on your feet. 

Position 2 - All Rounder

Admin-Housekeeping-Assistant Function Coordinator-Stock Control-Marketing- Reservations-Front of House-

  • ​Grade 12 / NQF4 (Essential) and hospitality related education beneficial.

  • Previous hospitality working experience in FOH/reservations and experience in Nightsbridge or another online booking system

  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite) with experience in SAGE Pastel an advantage.

  • Comfortable using CANVA and Social Media (Instagram, Facebook) for Marketing.  

  • Must be highly organised with good admin skills with attention to detail.
