TangleWood Nature Estate, located 14 km's outside Potchefstroom, North West, is family owned, focusing on camping, self-catering accommodation, day visitors, and boat launching onto Boskop Dam.

Our venue also hosts informal functions and events with catering. 


We are looking for two candidates to join our small team. While we are not specifically looking for a couple, we will consider a couple in exceptional circumstances. Must be energetic and passionate about the hospitality industry.



  • Driver’s License (essential), own transport (preferred)

  • Fluent English - Working Language and Good Afrikaans 

  • Good health and physical mobility. 

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure. 

  • Attention to detail

  • Stable work history and contactable references. 


Manage of Staff-Housekeeping-Functions&Catering--Stock.In addition, may need to backfill from time to time on Front of House

​Role Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (essential) with Degree/Diploma in Hospitality (beneficial)

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar hospitality environment.

  • Organised with strong admin skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with catering (between 30 and 60pax) beneficial (Informal, school, etc) 

  • Must have excellent client and interpersonal skills to deal with difficult situations.

  • Computer literate (essential), Nightsbridge and SAGE (beneficial)

  • Professional and well groomed. Can work independently and as part of small multicultural team.

  • Start Date: ASAP


Role Requirements: Must be experienced in general maintenance and small project building. Ideally, prior experience working on a remote lodge or farm. 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in general maintenance with the ability to troubleshoot-essential. 

  • Role requires strong technical skills with the ability to perform and manage general repairs and maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, pumped sewerage, gas geysers, borehole pumps, pressure pumps, solar power, grounds and building maintenance, pools, fencing, fireguards and road maintenance. 

  • Project Management is an added advantage

  • Knowledge and experience of basic construction and small building projects (advantageous)

  • Knowledge of first aid and safety regulations and procedures.  

  • Qualifications: NQF Level 5 certificate as electrical technician or equivalent trade test (can be substituted with relevant experience) 

  • Start Date: Latest August 1, 2024



  • Salary: Negotiable, DOE (each role between R8k-14k p/m

  • 45 hours per week. Will require weekend and public holiday work. Off days during the week

  • Annual Leave: 21 Days (Must be taken during companies off season months) 

  • Staff Uniform

  • Meals: 1 X meal per day when on duty

  • Accommodation: Live In Position. Accommodation will be provided for 1 single person in a shared 3 bedroom house (House is unfurnished, no dependents/pets/smoking).

  • Staff responsible for own electricity account.

  • Note: We will not offer a higher package to accommodate offsite accommodation and travel costs.
