TangleWood Nature Estate, located 14 km's outside Potchefstroom, North West, is family owned, focusing on camping, self-catering accommodation, day visitors, and boat launching onto Boskop Dam. 

Our venue also hosts informal functions and events with catering. 

 

We are looking for a single person to join our small team. Must be energetic and passionate about the hospitality industry.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

​

  • Driver’s License (essential), own transport (preferred)

  • Fluent English - Working Language and Good Afrikaans 

  • Good health and physical mobility. 

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure. 

  • Attention to detail

  • Stable work history and contactable references. 

​

ROLE : HOUSEKEEPER, VENUE & CATERING

​

Housekeeping, Venue & Informal Catering. In addition, you will need to cover FOH from time to time.​ Role Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (essential) with a Degree/Diploma in Hospitality (beneficial)

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar hospitality environment. (Lodge/Remote)

  • Organised with very strong admin skills and high attention to detail.

  • Fairly manage staff under your direct responsibility. 

  • Excellent client & interpersonal skills and ability to deal with difficult situations.

  • Informal catering experience, between 30 and 60pax (beneficial)

  • Computer literate (essential), Nightsbridge and SAGE Accounting (beneficial)

  • Professional and well groomed.

  • Can work independently and as part of small multicultural team.

  • Start Date: Latest 1 August 2024

PACKAGE & WORKING HOURS

​

  • Salary: Negotiable, DOE (between R10k - R14k p/m) 

  • Accommodation: Live In Position. Accommodation provided for 1 single person in a small flat.

  • Flat: Unfurnished with 3 small rooms + 1 kitchenette + 1 bathroom. No dependents/pets/smoking in house. 

  • Staff responsible for own electricity account.

  • We will not offer a higher package to accommodate offsite accommodation and travel costs. 

  • 45 hour working week. Requires weekend and public holiday work. Off days during the week

  • Annual Leave: 21 Days (Leave must be taken during our off season months between May - July) 

  • Staff Uniform

  • Meals: 1 X meal per day when on duty
