Couple Position - Live In

TangleWood Nature Estate is located 14 km's outside Potchefstroom, North West. We are looking for a couple with strong hospitality experience to join a small team. While not preferred, we will consider two single candidates.


Our main business is camping, self-catering tented and other accommodation, day visitors, & boat launching onto Boskop Dam. We plan to further develop our venue for low key informal events, and outdoor activities.


We serve the local market (not a 5 * lodge serving the International market) 


Business is family owned, both owners work mostly out of country. Candidates must be mature, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. 

Ideal candidates will have a love for the outdoors and enjoy living in a remote area. Position requires good understanding of camp/lodge operations and staff management. Valid drivers license and own transport.


We offer a 45 hour working week over weekends and holidays with days off in the week. 



  • Couple Salary R18k - R24k (DOE) + Accommodation+ Uniform

  • Unfurnished flat suitable for 2 persons. Pets by arrangement.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years experience

  • Effectively manage small cross cultural team. 

  • Organised, proactive, but can take instruction. 

  • Remain calm under pressure.  

  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English.  

  • Oversee grounds, property, maintenance, and security. Must be hands on with all-round maintenance skills. 

    • Strong plumbing skills

    • Grounds irrigation, knowledge of grass cutting equipment and equipment maintenance, 

    • Excellent pool maintenance skills

    • Working knowledge of gas geysers, boreholes, water pumps, and generators. 

    • Basic electrical maintenance

    • Small building projects and basic wood work. 




  • Relevant hospitality qualification with 3 - 5 years experience in a Camp/Lodge/Guest House. 

  • Oversee housekeeping and staff, training, and stock.

  • Oversee venue hire for small informal functions and events (quotes, preparation, on the day)

  • Act as relief for FOH (bookings, check ins, front office admin.) 

  • Computer literate (MS Office, MS Word, Excel)

  • Knowledge of NightsBridge, and SAGE Accounting an  advantage.

  • Must be able to plan, prioritise, and work without supervision. 

  • Professional, well groomed, with strong communication and inter personnel skills. Attention to detail and high expectations of cleanliness. 

  • Comfortable using Social Media is a bonus.
