Clients can make their own online booking on our Nightsbridge booking page. After booking, you will

receive an email with payment details. Deposits must be received within 48 hours, otherwise the booking

will automatically cancel. Use your NB number as payment reference.

Clients can pay their deposit or settle their account by card using our secure YOCO online payment portal.


Clients can purchase gift vouchers via our YOCO payment platform. Vouchers are valid for 3 years from date of purchase.


Surcharge/ Penalty - One Night Only Bookings

A R120 penalty will be charged extra for one night only bookings over weekends and holidays. This penalty is applicable for each tent and stand (i.e. NOT per booking). The penalty is not automatically included in our standard rates and the penalty must be selected as an extra charge when making the booking.


Minimum Stays

A minimum 3 night stay will apply during peak camping periods. The minimum stay requirement falls away one week before., after which clients will be able to make one and two night bookings.  


Additional Charges: Per Person and or Vehicles (Per Day)

Standard quoted rate includes your stand or tent, entrance for two persons and one vehicle only. Additional persons/vehicles are charged per night: 

No Charge - Infant under 12 Months

R35 for Children from 1 - 12 Years

R70 for Children > 12 Years & Adults

R35 for each additional Vehicle


Deposits & Booking Confirmations

  • Bookings will be confirmed after the deposit is received into our bank account. Payment must be received within 2 days of your booking as unconfirmed bookings are automatically cancelled after 48 hours.  

  • The full outstanding balance is due latest at checkin and can be settled onsite either in cash or card.

  • EFT Payments: Clients must ensure any EFT payment are made at least 48 hours in advance of arrival to allow enough time to clear into our bank account. 


Booking and Date Changes, Partial and Full Cancellations & Refunds 

  • Notice of cancellation or booking change must be sent via email. Call requests will not be accepted unless confirmed in email.

  • A cancellation fee/penalty will apply to all cancellations (full and partial), including booking date changes, no shows, late arrivals and early departures.

  • A booking date change to a later date is deemed a cancellation, and cancellation terms will apply. 

  • Full refunds will be made in event of hospitalisation or death of the primary client. The primary client is the person in who's name the booking was made. 


Penalty for Cancellations & Changes

  • Full Refund: Cancellation due to hospitalisation/death of primary booked client.

  • Refund 75% of Amount Paid : Written notice 30 Days or > Before Arrival

  • Refund 50% of Amount Paid : Written notice 15 – 29 Days Before Arrival

  • No Refund : Written notice 0 - 14 Days before Arrival


Check In & Check Out Times

  • Check In from 2pm until office close (7pm Tuesday – Thursday: 9pm on Friday & Saturday).

  • Late Check In: Arrangements must be made in advance for late check-in after gates close. Late check in will only be considered if the full outstanding payment has been received before arrival.

  • Check Out is 10AM. Campers are welcome to remain as day visitors once they have been checked out of their tent/stand without any additional charge. Tents must be cleared out and vacated by 10AM to allow staff access to clear/clean.


Stands, Water & Electricity

  • Allocated Stands: Camping only allowed in designated stands. Customers will be allocated to a stand / tent when the booking is confirmed. Let us know if you have a preferred stand as tents will not be moved on day of check in. 

  • Ground Sheets: Only perforated ground sheets allowed to avoid damage to grassed stands. 

  • Power: All stands/tents have access to one 15 Amp 220v plug point. Bring your own 15m extension cable.

    • Camping Stands 1 – 6 located next to jetty, have power & shared cold-water taps. Suitable for customers who get up early as jetty can get busy/noisy from 5am on weekends.

    • Stands/Tents 7 – 35: All stands & tents are located 50m – 100m away from the water. 

​Lost /Damaged Camping Equipment

Customers are responsible to ensure all TangleWood camping equipment is checked back in by on-duty staff before your departure. The customer is liable for the replacement cost of any damaged or lost camping equipment and related fee's. 



  • Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash at all times. 

  • Guests must clean up after their own pet. Please ensure your pet does not pose a threat or become a nuisance, which includes constant barking.

  • Dogs are not allowed in TangleWood's tents or buildings, on our furniture, in the beach volley ball court or swimming pools. We reserve the right to request you remove your pet from the property if deemed necessary.


Music & Noise

  • We offer a low noise campsite and no music will be allowed including via car radio, cell phone or any other musical instrument and on duty staff will enforce this.

  • Be considerate to your camping neighbour and refrain from rowdy behaviour after 22h00. 

  • We do not take bookings for bachelor groups or any other noisy party groups unless you have booked the campsite for exclusive use.

Group Bookings

  • TangleWood will not take new group bookings from September 2021 from non-family groups. Unfortunately this change has become necessary due to ongoing issues with drinking groups,. If there is a valid reason for an exception for your group, please contact Jannene directly (WhatsApp only on 063 898 3830) to discuss specific requirements.


Smoking & Fires

  • Smoking is NOT allowed in any of our tents or buildings, including the bathrooms.

  • Fires are only allowed in your designated braai and must be kept a safe distance away from tents. Please refrain from throwing hot ash on our grass and extinguish the fire before going to bed as we experience strong winds over the dam.


  • TangleWood is privately-owned and right of admission is reserved.

  • Speed limit of 15km on the property. Take care of children and animals. 

  • Generators are not allowed.

  • No glass, soap, shampoo, or any other detergents is allowed in the pool or dam, and proper swimming attire is required in the pool.

  • No pellet guns, air guns, archery, blow pipes, fireworks or quad bikes are allowed. 

  • Please use the dustbins for all your garbage – including your cigarette butts and bottle tops.


Liability & Damages

  • Persons entering the property do so entirely at their own risk. TangleWood will not accept liability or responsibility for the death of, harm or injury to any person (including a claim for loss of support), or for the loss (including pure economic loss) or destruction of or damage/s to any property or possessions from any cause whatsoever and howsoever arising.

  • TangleWood will not be liable for any failure to provide (or delay in providing), facilities or services because of events outside of our control.

  • TangleWood reserves the right to hold a guest liable for any loss or damage to property, fixtures, and fittings, including for items hired for their use and guests may also be held liable for injury to any person arising from the guest’s actions.

  • Vandalism, drunken or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and guests will be asked to leave. Refunds are not given to evicted persons.
