CAMPING FACILITIES
Each stand or tent has access to one plug point - 15 Amp 220v and we allow one caravan only per stand. Bring your own 15m extension cable. Camspites have shared cold water taps. All units are located about 100m away from the water and fishing from your stand is not possible. Customers select a specific tent or stand when booking and must camp on on their booked stand.
Note: Camping stands 1- 6, located near the jetty, is suitable for clients who get up at 5am. These stands are also often water logged during our rainy season.
Our campsite ablutions have hot water showers and flush toilets. Staff clean bathrooms daily between 7am and 7pm and from 5am to 9pm on weekends.
We use gas geysers - clients must switch on the hot water first before adding cold water.
We do not offer private bathrooms for camping stands and Lodge tents.

Campers have access to an undercover wash up facility with stainless steel sinks, hot water and a shared fridge/freezer. Don’t forget to bring along all your own cooking utensils, eating and cleaning aids.
Our hot water system takes about 12 to 15 minutes to reheat water. Fill the sink with hot water and wash up. Do not wash under running water.
On-duty staff have assigned tasks. Please refrain from asking our staff do your washing up.
We have small rim and skottel braai’s suitable for 2- 4 persons and 1/2 drums suitable for larger families. All braai's have grids.
Our bar is open for campers and day visitors during our bar opening hours starting from 11am. We offer a big screen in the venue suitable for general sport viewing while selected sports channels can be watched at Happy Hooker Pub.
We stock braai wood, charcoal, firelighters, ice and cold beverages. Note that no own beverages may be brought into our bar or venue area.
Catering can be arranged with our office for larger groups.
TangleWood offers a low noise campsite. No music is allowed, including via car radio, cell phone or any other musical instrument.
No bookings will be taken for bachelor, non family groups, or other noisy party groups unless our campsite has been booked out for exclusive use.
Staff, including night watch, are required to enforce our no music policy. We reserve the right to evict any client who refuses to adhere to this policy.
TangleWood is an ideal location for low noise family groups. Please contact us in advance for any special arrangements.
Accounts must be settled in full before check in. We recommend clients settle in advance to avoid delays. If settling via EFT - please make payment at least 72 hours before arrival to allow time for payments to clear.
Guests select a specific tent or stand at the time of booking. TangleWood tents may not be moved and clients must setup on their booked tent or stand.
