FACILITIES

Stands

Customers are allocated a stand /tent when the booking is confirmed. Contact us if you have a preferred stand and we will accommodate your request subject to availability. Camping/vehicles must be in your designated stand. Our tents may not be moved. 

  • Stands 1 – 6 are closest to the jetty. Please note the jetty can get busy from 5am on weekends. 

  • Budget and Rent a Tents can also be booked as a stand for own camping when booked for 3 nights or longer. Please contact our booking office directly for this option.

Water | Electricity

All stands and tents have access to one electrical plug  point (15 Amp 220v) and we recommend you bring a 15-20m extension cable. Cold water taps are shared. Stands are located approx. 50 - 100m away from the water and fishing from your stand is not possible.​

Ablutions

Our ablutions have hot showers and flush toilets and onsite staff clean the bathrooms daily between 7am and 7pm. We have gas geysers so please remember to first switch on the hot water tap. Any problems must immediately be reported to our on duty office staff. 

Men: 4 showers, 3 toilets, 2 urinals & 3 basins

Ladies: 3 showers, 1 bath, 3 basins & 3 toilets 

Campers Washup Area | Communal Fridge/Freezer

Campers have access to an undercover washing up facility with stainless steel sinks, hot water and a shared fridge/freezer.  Don’t forget to bring along all your own cooking utensils, eating and cleaning aids. Our on-duty staff have assigned tasks and we kindly request that you do not ask our staff to do your washing up.

Braais

We have 40 small rim and skottel braai’s suitable for 2- 4 persons, and a few 1/2 drums for larger groups.  All our braai's have grids.

Bar

Our venue bar is open for campers/day visitors during our bar opening hours. We have a big screen in the venue suitable for sport viewing and we stock braai wood, charcoal, firelighters, ice and beverages. Please do not bring own beverages into our bar and venue. 

Pet Friendly

Pets are welcome on a leash. Clients are responsible to clean up after there own pet and ensure their pet does not pose a threat or become a nuisance, including constant barking. Dogs are not allowed in TangleWood's own tents, buildings, on furniture, in the beach volley ball court or the swimming pools. TangleWood reserves the right to amend our pet policy without notice if deemed necessary.

Low Noise

We offer a low noise campsite and no music will be allowed, including via car radio, cell phone or any other musical instrument. Bookings for bachelor or other noisy parties will not be taken unless booked with 80% of our tents/stands. 

Group Bookings

The person making the group booking is liable for the group, including payment. Group bookings must be paid in full 48 hours before arrival to avoid delays in checking in the group. Customers will be allocated to a ten/stand dependent on the selected camping option and tents may not be moved. Contact us in advance regarding special arrangements.

Weather

We have cold/dry winters and hot/rainy summers and the temperature drops significantly after sundown, even during the summer months. Please bring along suitable clothing and bedding to stay warm during the night.
